Chinese Knots which is the essence of Chinese ethnic art has a long history for thousands of years. Its initiation though is unknown, taking notes by knots was discovered long time ago and this may be the origin of Chinese knots.

There are twelve basic knots including: cross knot, double money knot, double knot, flat knot, round brocade knot, flower knot, button knot, Falun knot, Sauvastika knot, plafond knot, good luck knot and larks head knot.
